Workshops

COVID NOTICE : We monitor Covid Guidance daily and work within the rules.  Workshops will continue as and when permitted.  Please contact me to discuss your training requirements as we can support you remotely and also with social distancing. 

 

These workshops are run and to help you with focusing on certain areas of your training, trying a new skill and bringing that extra edge to your training. 

 

Tools in Your Toolbox

This workshop will differ to training class, in that we will focus and develop one skill at a time, building on distractions and testing it in different environments. Previous workshops have included leadwalking skills within a social walk. Recall practice in an enclosed paddock to ensure we help teach your dog recall is fun and you can feel relaxed that your dog is safe to be off lead. 

 

Old dog new tricks - The body ages but it is important to provide mental stimulation for our oldies. Dawn will provide you with help and inspiration for you to use in your home and on your walks, in an relaxed environment running at our seniors pace. This workshop has also been run as part of an Senior month at veterinary practices. 

 

Social training walks - Training walks can consist of how to interact with your dog outside and make yourself more fun. When walking any dog it is essential to have a relationship that transfers from inside to outside because as soon as you step into the real world with your dog you can become the last thing on its mind. This will be undertaken in small groups. 

 

Pet Agility – Pet Agility Classes are taught following the Kennel Club Agility guidelines in a non-competitive environment. From complete beginners to pet handlers who enjoy being outside with their dog. Agility is one of the best ways to have exercise and fun whilst working together with your dog as a team to complete the course. Keep an eye on my facebook page for live dates. 

 

Pet Gundog - Having a dog can be challenging enough however if you have a breed or personality that loves to retrieve, hunt and is high on life sometimes we need an little extra inspiration after our life skills classes.  This workshop is designed to help you and make your walks become more fun, with retrieving and other fun exercises.

Clicker Workshops – If you’re stuck with ways to mentally stimulate your dogs, then this workshop is for you. It’s fantastic for puppies too. Clicker training is a teaching method that allows us as ‘teachers’ to improve our timing, skills, observation and allow our dogs to teach us!
